Darkest dungeon jester nerf3/1/2024 ![]() ![]() Ye, or you could just go to an area that isn't completely BS. I never noticed it as being a big deal you may just have had the bad luck of having a specific combination of classes that don't handle it well. What strategies work all depends on the specific 4 heroes in your party, but it's really not that big of a deal for most parties. If you have a highwayman in the party, for example, you can steal those and give them to the highwayman. Some parties can burst the back and kill him, others can pull him forward, still others can just nullify the 'buffs'. You need succeed in stunning the captain all the way back or the bucket boy in the front. You either need to win every speed and damage roll to quickly kill the captain (and have the right team for the job) Solving this problem would require several dicerolls to work out in your favor and just 1 of them failing means your team gets annihilated (or at least very severely set back). No other area I've been to had bullsheet that was THIS excessively unfair, so I'm going to just.go somewhere else? I'm simply never going to go to this area ever again. He has over 20 health and is always in position 4, so good luck bursting him down in a single turn.īucket boy obliterates your entire team with a guaranteed 20 crit and 2-4 stress (and probably some dots for good measure, I don't remember). When you run into these 2, the following will happen (and happened to me in both occasions I ran into a captain):Ĭaptain buffs bucket boy before you could kill him. They are also paired with 'bucket boys', tanky size 2 enemies that have an all-team damaging attack. The 'captain' is an enemy in the Shroud that starts in position 4 and starts the battle by casting an insanely powerful buff on his entire enemy team that gives them crits and all sorts of nastyness. In case you don't know what I'm talking about: ![]()
